The Sultanate of Oman is a beautiful country with diverse geography and architecture. It boasts of a rich heritage and is an extremely tolerant society with a strong sense of identity. Oman takes a lot of pride in an ancient, frankincense-trading past and confidence in a highly educated future.
Strategically located at the mouth of the Persian Gulf, Oman is boarded by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to the northwest, Saudi Araba to the west and Yemen in the southwest. It also shares marine borders with Iran and Pakistan to the north and northeast respectively. Oman is the oldest independent state in the Arab world and continues to be one of the more traditional counties within the Gulf region. Oman has balanced its traditional past with modernisation and development.
